Created in collaboration between Marja Hepo-aho and Sini Majuri, Infinity Vessel is a multidisciplinary artistic initiative that dismantles traditional perceptions of glass art. By placing UNESCO-recognized heritage craftsmanship into radical contemporary contexts, the project transforms hot glass into a living, somatic medium for critical societal commentary.

The collection presents wearable glass sculptures that reflect the historical, cultural, and political spectrum of female archetypes. Fusing ancient glassblowing with modern material innovations, the work addresses the systemic objectification and sexualization of the female body. By placing heavy, rigid glass directly onto the human form—such as elevated glass footwear activated through bodily movement—Infinity Vessel confronts the ethical and existential tensions of modern society, exploring how cultural values, gendered expectations, and trauma are embodied and worn.

Through these sculptural interventions, Infinity Vessel subverts the traditional luxury status and decorative expectations of glass. It reclaims the material not as a passive display object, but as an urgent, highly charged medium for human integrity, body autonomy, and political reflection.

The physical and conceptual realization of Infinity Vessel- NYFW relies on a dedicated network of specialists and multidisciplinary collaborators. The production features technical costume sculpture execution by Aino Simola,  footwear craft by Tytti Porvari, tufting by Joonas Salo, moldwork and technical consulting  by Matti Niemelä, bodily choreography by dance artist Mira Ollila, and 3D modeling by Alexandra Holmes, alongside contributions from Drag artist Caritapani,Sini Koskelainen, Material Helsinki, Tikkitupa, Kalaparkki, Spinnova, UPM.
